Advantage, Blue GiantA dock leveler must be able to support extremely heavy loads. It must also be able to service a wide range of load bed heights and accommodate unevenly distributed loads. A Blue Giant Dock Leveler is designed to withstand the repeated abuse of dynamic stresses, while maintaining its versatility and structural integrity.
Conventional designs are perfect for conventional applications. However, we all know that no dock is perfect and application criteria, as well as, usage varies greatly, per the following;
I-beams offer greater deck support over conventional formed beams and channel designs. Blue Giant
A-Series aggressive usage dock levelers provide superior load distribution, and are designed to combat the constant daily dynamic forces that can create havoc with your loading dock leveler.
I-Beam Highlights
Strength is the hallmark of Blue Giant dock levelers. We deliver one of the highest strength ratios in the industry incorporating a minimum of six (6) I-beam deck supports and eight (8) I-beam supports on higher capacity units.
• I-Beam flange provides more load distribution contact area at key loading points.
• I-Beam flange provides the greatest deck support by increasing deck thickness at impact points.
• Spacing between beams is kept to a minimum and increases the rigidity of the deck.
• I-Beam has the highest section modulus, compared to formed beams.
• I-Beam has the least twisting action when loaded with sheer force.

A 4" wide I-Beam can provide up to 500% more structural under-deck support over conventional thinner formed beam configurations.
