The L-Pad construction solves the dilemma of providing a good seal versus providing good access. Blue Giants L-Pad model offers the sealing capability of a compression seal with the versatility of a truck shelter – while at the same time eliminating any pressure on the building wall and providing complete access to the trailer. Designed for door openings 10’ x 10’or smaller.

LP2000 Highlights

Heavy-duty treated wood.
Foam filled L-Pad bolsters eliminates the need for steel bumper guards, and are less likely to be damage by mis-spotted trailers.
12" overall projection.
Canopy header provides additional protection from snow and rain curtains absorbs impact of lower trailer corners.
Wear caps with guide stripe on bottom corners of face curtains absorbs impact of lower trailer corners.
18" drop curtain.
1" thick foam to seal top of trailer.
Two (2) overlapping wear pleats in corners absorb impact of sharp trailer edges. Additional layer of fabric on edge of L-Pad.
Foam-filled draft pads inside lower corners prevent air from entering.
Durable fabrics in a wide range of weights, styles and colors.

Optional Upgrades

Fixed-lip: Stops the flow of air by filling the gap left by swing-type trailer doors.
Rain Trough: Fits across the front edge of canopy header to deflect rain water to the sides of truck and door opening.
Wear Pleats: extra fabric flaps can be sewn to the front of the side pads and head pads or curtain to provide added durability and to extend the life of the seal. Recommended for heavy dock traffic.
Secondary adjustable drop curtain for short trailer heights.
Tapered Verticals: to accommodate sloped driveways.
